Key Responsibilities:

Design & Engineering

• Review cable layouts, routing drawings, trench details, and duct bank designs.

• Prepare cable sizing calculations, voltage drop calculations, and short circuit analysis.

• Review technical submittals, material approvals, and shop drawings.

• Ensure compliance with IEC, BS, and local authority standards.

Installation & Site Supervision

• Supervise cable laying (underground & duct bank systems), pulling, jointing, and termination works.

• Monitor cable tray installations, cleating, tagging, and identification systems.

• Coordinate with civil teams for trenching, backfilling, and reinstatement works.

• Ensure adherence to HSE standards and project timelines.

Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct and witness cable testing, including:

  • Insulation Resistance (IR) Test

  • Hi-Pot / VLF Testing

  • Continuity and Sheath Testing

• Coordinate energization procedures with utilities and stakeholders.

• Prepare test reports and handover documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

• 3–8 years of experience in MV/HV/LV cable projects (substations or infrastructure).
