Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Review route alignment drawings, tower spotting, and profile drawings.

• Verify sag & tension calculations and conductor selection.

• Review foundation designs (pad & chimney, pile foundations).

• Ensure compliance with IEC, BS, and local utility standards

• Review technical submittals, method statements, and ITPs.

Site Supervision & Execution

• Supervise tower foundation works, including excavation, reinforcement, concreting, and backfilling.

• Monitor tower erection, bolt tightening, and structural alignment.

• Supervise conductor stringing, sagging, clipping-in, and installation of OPGW/earth wires.

• Coordinate with civil and stringing teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.

• Ensure compliance with approved method statements and safety procedures.

Testing & Commissioning

• Witness tower earthing resistance tests.

• Coordinate OPGW testing and fiber optic commissioning (if applicable).

• Support line energization and pre-commissioning inspections.

• Prepare inspection reports and as-built documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

• 3–10 years of experience in overhead transmission line projects (132k/ 220kV / 400kV preferred).
